About Bubble Boy
The Tale of Bubble Boy is a difficult, almost impossible going-up platformer in which you play as a character named Bubble Boy. After his father's tragic death, he decides to take up his cross and fulfill his father's dream by placing a cross on the highest mountaintop in the Alps.
Rather than climbing to the top, like his father, Bubble Boy decides in child-like faith to get there by more unconventional means:
A giant soap bubble!
Now the player has to get him there, but if the bubble touches anything, it will pop, and Bubble Boy will fall all the way back down to the soap-filled tub from which the player has to start, all over, again…The game opens with a three-minute-long animated movie showing the player Bubble Boy’s tragic backstory.

How To Play
To move the bubble the player has to move the mouse from right to left, and then from left to right. This will first make Bubble Boy breathe in, and then blow out the air. The faster the player moves the mouse, the faster Bubble Boy blows out air and the quicker the bubble moves up! By holding down the left or right mouse button the bubble will be moved in either direction, left or right, as Bubble Boy blows out air.
When the player stops moving the mouse, the bubble will shrink rapidly. This can be useful to get through tight areas but will also require the player to always keep moving the mouse, and always keep checking the size of the bubble. If it becomes too small it will pop! Once the player starts moving the mouse again the bubble will grow in size.

Developer Information and Story

The Tale of: Bubble Boy was made by Tim Venekamp, a 23-year-old indie developer from the Netherlands. Bubble Boy came to him as an idea in just a few seconds while looking out the window one day. After the idea had appeared out of nowhere, he made two or three quick, bad-looking sketches about what had flown into his mind. A few days later he started working on the game.Tim started making games when he was still in high school. His first game was DeepLands, a strange puzzle adventure game, and his second and most ambitious game Little Hats: An open-world survival game in which the player plays as a gnome, which is still in development.
